According to the British Chambers of Commerce almost two-thirds of UK businesses have yet to carry out a risk assessment on the impact of Brexit. The BCC states that many firms were still awaiting clarify from government or had stopped paying attention to events. The inaction is most acute amongst small businesses, it said.

‘Too many businesses across the U.K. are still not ready for Brexit’ said Adam Marshall, director general of the BCC. ‘With six months to go until the U.K’s planned departure, firms still don’t have the answers from government to the most basic questions about future trading conditions’.

At Hooper and Co we have developed a quick scorecard for businesses to complete, we can then provide them with a free one page analysis and what they should start to look at based on different scenarios some are actions that will improve the customs compliance of firms regardless of Brexit.
